Even a super thickie, useless tosser of a manager should see he is now a starter.

So no.

Re: Will Rice Start Tomorrow ?
Looking at some of the selections the manager has made, it's quite possible to come to the conclusion that something other than current form is driving the make up of the team...

Re: Will Rice Start Tomorrow ?
Bilic has said that it is "TOO EARLY" for him.

I fucking give up, he performed very well against a top top side and its still too early.

Re: Will Rice Start Tomorrow ?
I would, as a sweeper in front of the back 4. You never know we could end up saving £40m on our DM problem.

As Lanzini is out still we may as well give his understudy, the new Swedish kid, a run out as well... he did okay at Swindon and can't be worse than the muppets who played last week.

Re: Will Rice Start Tomorrow ?
After his pre season and watching him in the two Manchester matches I would have thought he was a shoe in to start? Also has a fantastic attitude too.

And, on the same tip, I'd like to see the lad Hab. . . Vic given a look in too. Nothing to lose.

Re: Will Rice Start Tomorrow ?
based on performance i think he should start, but we all know he wont.
he has looked at home v both manchester sides.

maybe the fearless approach of youth would help a side that looks low on confidence.

Sir Alf

I'm going to agree with what you yourself concede was a controversial opinion.

I'd rather get rid of the lazy, yellow, hiding waste of space that is Ayew than the slow and woefully out of form, but willing, Snodgrass.

There, I said it.

As much as it pains me someone made a good point about Spurs team at Newcastle

Walker sold and Trippier injured so Pochettino put the kid Kyle Walker-Junior or whatever his name is at right back.
Was pointed out that many managers would have shuffled things around and put an experienced player out of position there.
Sound familiar?

Re: Will Rice Start Tomorrow ?
I remember this kind of hype about oxford.

We have two very talented young centre backs out on loan so some average 33 year old defenders can play instead. In other words best not getting hopes up.

Anyone (ANYONE) except ayew.

Hopefully antonio will be able to start.

If we go 3 centre backs I'd have masuaku, 4 at the back = creswell.

Re: Will Rice Start Tomorrow ?
It's easy to get carried away with the young players doing well.
They tend to be inconsistent as we've seen with Fernandes and others in the past. I'd like to see him given time to cement a place in the team. I agree he's done really well when given the opportunity but coming off the bench is not a bad place to be for an 18 year old as long as Bilic keeps faith with him even if he hits a dip in form.

Re: Will Rice Start Tomorrow ?
I'd like to see Fernandez out and Rice in, he looked good last week. Hopefully Antonio will be fit enough to start too. I think this is a big game for Bilic, a defeat by a couple of goals would put him under huge pressure.

Re: Will Rice Start Tomorrow ?
Same staring line-up with maybe Cresswell in for Matsuaku. And we can watch another slow static midfield hit long balls up to Hernadez again. Lets hope we get a point anyway

Herby 10:42 Fri Aug 18
Re: Will Rice Start Tomorrow ?
is stick him in front of a back 4 in a 4141 tomorrow.

Hart

Zab Reid Ogbonna creswell

Rice

Antonio noble obiang arnoutovic

Hernandez

Re: Will Rice Start Tomorrow ?
Fernandes and Ayew and Arfur should be dropped. Rice, Cresswell or even Snodgrass (yikes) have to be better than Fernandes and Ayew and Arfur defensively. We also have Antonio, Sakho, Holland or teh Swedish lad as options to replace Ayew. Also would have been nice to have Cullen or Burke available based on very good reviews from Bolton they were ready? but thats another story.

Bilic the baffoon will screw up no doubt and play the same starting 11 as last time out.
